Operations Level Small Animal Emergency Sheltering (Day 1)

THIS IS A TWO DAY CLASS!

PREREQUISITES REQUIRED!

After completing the Operations Level class, you will be able to:

*Understand how the Incident Command System is used in an emergency shelter
*Reduce the spread of diseases & effectively decontaminate animals
*Choose a location and design a shelter
*Select proper equipment and supplies
*Create an animal intake process & procedure plan
*Understand the responsibilities of Lead roles
*Successfully and safely transport animals

Even if you have no interest in taking a leadership position at an emergency shelter, the skills and knowledge learned in this course will make you a valuable asset for any emergency shelter deployment. You will work in a team with other companion animal advocates to help enhance what you learn.
