To be eligible to take this course, you must be at least 18 years old, have a up-to-date FLSARC volunteer profile, AND provide proof of completing the following courses:
FL SARC Awareness Level (Level 1) Small Animal Emergency Sheltering class. FEMA IS-100 (online and no charge)If the above certificates of completion are currently not part of your volunteer profile with FLSARC, please submit these certificates to volunteer@flsarc.org.
Operations level will help qualify you for new roles during a disaster involving animals including possible Team Lead roles. This class expands on the learnings of the Level 1 course and challenges experienced shelter staff with interesting scenarios of emergency sheltering during a disaster.
