Survivor Panel - Businesses Who Survived Disasters Speak on Lessons Learned
Business interruptions happen every day across the United States. Some may be small such as a server malfunction, others may be catastrophic such as hurricanes or forest fires. Regardless of the event, business owners are oftentimes faced with difficult decisions in the aftermath of the storm.
Join us to hear Gillis Ellis and Baker and several small and mid-sized businesses tell their recovery stories. Each business learned different lessons as they responded to events ranging from building fires to hurricanes.
One panelist, Gillis Ellis and Baker, was affected by flooding following Hurricane Katrina in 2005. The damage caused a shutdown of our building for two months. It was critical that we were able to recover in a timely fashion so we absolutely had to be there in order to preserve our reputation and our good name, said Anderson Baker, President of Gillis Ellis and Baker.
