Small Animal Disaster and Emergency Sheltering - Level 2 Operations Desoto County

Florida State Animal Response Coalition FL SARC, in partnership with Desoto County Emergency Management & FLSART is pleased to offer our Operations Level Small Animal Disaster and Emergency Sheltering class for Desoto, Manatee, Hardee, Sarasota, Polk and surrounding counties.

Tue, May 20, 2025, 9:00am-05:00pm and Wed, May 21, 2025, 09:00am -5:00 PM

This Operations Level (Level 2) is a 2-day course that details the leadership roles as well as strategic considerations within emergency animal shelters and their operations. After completing this course, you will be able to plan for and operate a small animal emergency shelter.

This is a required course for FL SARC field leadership positions within the incident response team.

FEMA Approved: This course meets the standards set by the Federal Emergency Management Agency.

Certified/Accredited by the Florida Department of Emergency Management.

Prerequisites: Recommended completion of Level 1
