You must be 18 or older. Prerequisites are required before registering this course: Level 1 Small Animal Emergency Sheltering and FEMA's IS-100.c free online course.

 This Awareness Level (Level 1) class will give you skills and practical experience required to become a emergency animal responder. The Awareness Level Small Animal Emergency Sheltering class is certified by the Florida Division of Emergency Management and is required to respond to help companion animals during a disaster.
