Operations (Level 2) Small Animal Emergency Sheltering (1st Weekend)

Description

The second level class details the leadership roles and  strategic considerations of emergency animal shelters. Modules include:

  • Incident Command System - How it is used in shelter operations
  • Biosecurity & Decontamination - Includes understanding pathogens and concepts of decontamination
  • Facility Design Considerations - Including locations, resources, and facility options
  • Leadership Roles - Review Lead roles & their responsibilities in an emergency shelter.
