Florida SARC's Awareness
(Level 1) class teaches volunteers the unique procedures, skills, and knowledge
necessary to build and operate a temporary emergency animal shelter in response
to natural disasters and large cruelty cases. Our courses are FEMA and Florida
Division of Emergency Management certified, and have been created with the
experts at SART and UF Veterinary Emergency Treatment Service Team. Join us to
learn how to deploy and save companion animals when disasters happen at a

Florida State Animal Response Coalitions'
(FLSARC) Operations (Level 2) class teaches the leadership roles and strategic
consideration of emergency animal shelters. Level 2 is aimed at FLSARC
volunteers who are ready to use their skills to step up into a more advanced
role on deployment. All attendees must have completed Awareness (Level 1) and
IS-100 to attend, along with proven animal handling experience. Level 2 is
approved by FEMA and is certified by the Florida Division of Emergency
Management.
